What you'll do

As a Lead Product Designer at Skydio, you will spearhead the design process for core functionalities of Skydio Cloud and Android-based Ground Control Stations. You will lead the design of features such as Fleet Management, Inspection & Mapping, and AI-Driven Missions, ensuring that they meet user needs and enhance operational efficiency. Your role will involve collaborating closely with product managers and engineers to develop tools that are not only powerful but also user-friendly.

You will also be responsible for building out the Skydio Design Language, creating a cohesive visual style and component library that can be utilized across various platforms. This will involve discovering, designing, and documenting new components and visual treatments that elevate the user experience. You will have the opportunity to go on-site with customers, gaining firsthand insights into their needs and use cases, which will inform your design decisions and help you create tools that customers love.

In addition to your design responsibilities, you will mentor and lead other designers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and innovation. You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of drone technology through your design work, making a significant impact on how users interact with autonomous systems.
