Who you are

You hold a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline and have at least 1 year of professional experience in land development projects. You possess strong analytical skills and are adept at performing calculations necessary for grading, drainage, and stormwater control facilities. Your experience includes managing civil aspects of construction projects, ensuring quality control, and resolving conflicts in real-time.

You are a collaborative team player who interacts effectively with contractors, fabricators, and internal clients to develop project requirements and schedules. You have a keen understanding of local, state, and federal permitting processes related to land development and utility construction projects. Your ability to communicate complex engineering concepts clearly is one of your strengths, allowing you to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

What you'll do

As a Civil Engineer on the Starship Launch Pad Engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and issuing drawings, design documentation, and reports for various land development projects. You will perform all necessary calculations for grading and drainage, ensuring compliance with stormwater control regulations and water quality standards. Your role will involve driving coordination and design efforts to obtain the required permits for construction projects.

You will manage the civil aspects of construction projects in the field, overseeing quality control and conflict resolution while coordinating with a multi-disciplinary contractor team. Your responsibilities will also include interacting with contractors and internal clients to define project requirements, schedules, and cost estimates prior to implementation. You will be expected to resolve design and construction conflicts in real-time, ensuring that projects stay on track and meet all regulatory requirements.
