Who you are

You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and at least 2 years of quality inspection experience, particularly in the aerospace industry. Your background includes performing complex inspections and documenting non-conformances according to prescribed procedures. You are proactive in communicating with production teams to resolve quality-related issues and improve product standards.

Your experience includes working with precision machined parts and you are familiar with the applicable drawing and work order specifications to verify compliance with design requirements. You have a strong understanding of quality management systems and are committed to continual improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.

What you'll do

As a CMM Inspector at SpaceX, you will complete surface plate work and inspection of machined aerospace parts, ensuring they conform to all design requirements. You will perform in-process inspections, including visual and dimensional inspections, and interact proactively with production teams to enhance product quality and reduce defects.

You will document non-conformances and support quality management system policies, assessing compliance with company and industry standards. Your role will also involve creating, maintaining, and verifying CMM programs used for measuring manufactured and supplied parts. You will collaborate in a cross-functional environment, utilizing your PC-DMIS programming skills to contribute to the overall quality assurance process.
