Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with 5+ years of relevant experience in technology integration. Your strong verbal and written communication skills allow you to effectively collaborate with diverse teams, while your analytical and organizational skills help you manage complex projects. You possess a good understanding of software, hardware, and network concepts, as well as the software development life cycle and its associated processes. Proficiency in Linux OS is essential, and you are skilled in using Bash and any scripting language such as Python or Perl. Your experience with SQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MS SQL, equips you to handle data-related tasks efficiently. Familiarity with the Atlassian stack, including Jira and Confluence, is also part of your toolkit.
Desirable
While not mandatory, project management experience and exposure to reporting tools like Tableau Dashboard and Grafana would be advantageous in this role. You are eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies, enhancing your ability to contribute to the team's success.
What you'll do
As a Technology Integration Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the analysis, planning, and coordination of upgrades, rollouts, and decommissioning across the firm's trading, research, and UX workflows. You will project manage large-scale firm-wide rollouts of applications and infrastructure, ensuring smooth user migrations from legacy systems to newer ones. Your responsibilities will include acting as a liaison between technology teams, business users, and external parties during various stages of application and infrastructure delivery for in-scope projects. You will increase transparency for stakeholders by maintaining quality project tracking documentation and regular communication. Additionally, you will utilize scripting and automation for project impact assessment and data collection for migration tracking dashboards.
