Stripe is hiring a Startup Partner to drive market strategy and engagement with startup communities in the UK. You'll work closely with venture capital firms and their portfolio companies to establish new business opportunities. This role requires strong networking skills and knowledge of the startup ecosystem.
Job Description
Who you are
You have experience in business development and a strong understanding of the startup ecosystem in the UK. You are well-networked within the venture capital, accelerators, and incubators community, regularly attending key startup events to build relationships and drive engagement. Your ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations is key, and you possess a self-reliant, adaptable, and professional demeanor. You are creative and take initiative, learning quickly in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll do
As a Startup Partner at Stripe, you will own the strategy to build market awareness and broad use of Stripeβs payments and applications platform within startup communities. Your responsibilities will include identifying appropriate UK-based early and late-stage VCs to target, driving necessary business and technical relationships with these VCs and their portfolio companies, and collaborating closely with the UK Stripe sales team on day-to-day interactions with these companies. You will also work with the Stripe marketing team on activities that tie into the startup community, ensuring that Stripe's offerings are well-represented and utilized.
