You have experience as a Database Support Engineer, ideally with a strong background in PostgreSQL and related technologies. You thrive in async environments and enjoy helping developers overcome challenges. Your communication skills allow you to engage effectively with users of varying technical expertise, especially in high-pressure situations. You are proactive in identifying patterns in support tickets and suggesting improvements to documentation and tooling. Mentoring junior team members is something you value, as you believe in raising the overall quality of support.

Desirable

Experience with cloud-based database solutions and familiarity with developer tools will be beneficial. A background in customer support or technical consulting is a plus, as is a passion for enhancing developer experiences.

What you'll do

In this role, you will investigate and resolve advanced customer issues across various Supabase services, including Postgres, Auth, Storage, and Realtime. You will provide consultative advice to optimize workloads and help users avoid common pitfalls. Your responsibilities will include reproducing bugs, isolating root causes, and proposing workarounds while escalating issues to engineering when necessary. You will communicate clearly with customers, turning incomplete reports into actionable cases. Additionally, you will mentor junior team members and contribute to improving the overall support quality.
