Who you are

You have a proven track record in real estate, particularly in managing new restaurant openings and relocations. With extensive market knowledge, you understand various deal types and transaction methods, making you an expert deal-maker in the industry. Your experience includes negotiating favorable lease terms and working closely with legal departments to ensure compliance and expedite deal timing. You thrive in high-visibility roles and are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Strategy, Real Estate, and Design.

You possess strong leadership skills and have successfully led teams in high-growth environments. Your ability to develop comprehensive market strategies and manage acquisitions will be crucial in meeting corporate objectives. You are detail-oriented and have a knack for identifying opportunities that align with the company's growth plans. Your communication skills enable you to effectively convey complex real estate concepts to stakeholders at all levels.

What you'll do

As the Senior Director of Real Estate at sweetgreen, you will lead the company's real estate acquisition activities, focusing on the East Coast and Mid-Atlantic regions. You will be responsible for managing the New Restaurant Openings (NROs) and ensuring that all real estate development activities align with the corporate three-year plan objectives. Your role will involve negotiating lease terms and working with external real estate vendors to facilitate successful transactions.

You will collaborate closely with the Chief Development Officer and other key stakeholders to develop and implement market strategies that support sweetgreen's expansion efforts. Your expertise in site selection and lease negotiation will be essential in identifying prime locations for new restaurants. You will also oversee the coordination of real estate activities with field operations to ensure that business development needs are met efficiently.
