You are proficient in programming languages such as Go and Python, which you have used to drive innovation in database automation — your coding skills enable you to contribute directly to the development of tools that enhance operational efficiency. You have a passion for mentoring and developing your team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and cloud teams — you understand the importance of aligning database strategies with broader business goals. Your analytical mindset helps you identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that enhance the overall performance of database systems.

Desirable

What you'll do

As the Manager of Database Reliability Engineering, you will lead a team responsible for the health, performance, and automation of Tekion's data backbone — your focus will be on ensuring that the database systems are reliable, scalable, and efficient. You will mentor your team members, helping them grow their skills and advance their careers while driving innovation in database automation.

You will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to understand their database needs and ensure that the systems are optimized for performance — your role will involve strategic planning and execution of database management initiatives that align with the company's goals. You will also be responsible for implementing best practices in database reliability and performance monitoring, ensuring that the systems can handle the demands of a rapidly evolving automotive retail ecosystem.
