You possess strong leadership skills and have experience leading end-to-end data science projects from problem definition to model deployment. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, R&D, Clinical Development, and Engineering to define project requirements and deliverables.

Your technical skills include advanced statistical and machine learning techniques, which you apply to analyze large, complex real-world data sets to extract actionable insights. You are adept at developing predictive models and algorithms using multimodal data to advance patient care.

You have a strong understanding of data privacy and ethics, ensuring that intellectual property, trade secrets, and protected health information are handled appropriately in accordance with legal standards. You are entrepreneurial in spirit, always looking for innovative ways to leverage data science in healthcare.

Desirable

Experience with GenAI and integrating diverse data sources such as genomics, imaging, and electronic health records is a plus. You are familiar with the latest advancements in AI technologies and how they can be applied to improve clinical outcomes.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead a team of data scientists at Tempus, focusing on the development of algorithms that provide critical information about the right treatments for the right patients at the right time. You will oversee the entire data science project lifecycle, from defining the problem to deploying models that can be utilized by clinicians and life science partners.

You will collaborate closely with various teams to ensure that project requirements are met and that the solutions developed are both innovative and practical. Your role will involve applying advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze large datasets, extracting insights that can directly impact patient care.

You will also work with the GenAI team to develop new solutions that integrate and process diverse sources of data, enhancing the capabilities of Tempus' proprietary platform. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration within the data science organization.
