Who you are

You have 12+ years of hands-on experience in data science, with a proven track record of delivering innovative and impactful solutions in the healthcare industry. Your expertise includes advanced statistical and machine learning techniques, enabling you to analyze large, complex datasets and extract actionable insights that can significantly improve patient care.

You are passionate about precision medicine and understand the importance of leveraging clinical, molecular, and imaging data to develop novel algorithms. Your entrepreneurial spirit drives you to lead a team of data scientists, fostering collaboration and innovation to create solutions that integrate diverse sources of data such as genomics and electronic health records.

You possess strong leadership skills, allowing you to guide end-to-end data science projects from problem definition to model deployment. Your ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, R&D, Clinical Development, and Engineering, ensures that project requirements and deliverables are met effectively.

Your experience includes developing predictive models and algorithms that advance patient care, and you are comfortable applying your knowledge of GenAI to create new solutions. You understand the legal and ethical standards surrounding intellectual property and protected health information, ensuring compliance in all aspects of your work.

Desirable

Experience in the healthcare technology sector is a plus, as is familiarity with the latest advancements in AI and data analytics. You are open to mentoring junior team members and sharing your knowledge to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead a team of data scientists in leveraging data science and analytics to provide critical information about the right treatments for the right patients at the right time. You will oversee the development of algorithms and predictive models that utilize multimodal data, ensuring they are validated clinically for use by clinicians and life science partners.

You will collaborate closely with various teams to define project requirements and deliverables, ensuring that your team's work aligns with the broader goals of the organization. Your responsibilities will include applying advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze real-world data, extracting insights that can drive clinical decision-making.

You will also work with the GenAI team to develop innovative solutions that integrate and process diverse data sources, enhancing the capabilities of Tempus' proprietary platform. Your leadership will be crucial in guiding your team through the complexities of data science projects, from initial problem definition to successful model deployment.
