Job Description

Who you are

You are a highly motivated and skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in mechanical design and assembly processes. You have a strong background in using Siemens NX for detailed mechanical design and are comfortable preparing manufacturing drawings and Bill of Material documentation. Your collaborative nature allows you to work effectively with hardware design engineers, implementing feedback and making necessary design iterations.

You have experience in mechanical assembly and are familiar with preparing Assembly Procedure documents. You understand the importance of documenting each step of the assembly process, including fastener types and torque specifications. Your attention to detail ensures that all documentation and reporting are comprehensive and accurate, reflecting design decisions and changes.

What you'll do

In this role, you will conduct detailed mechanical design for avionics systems, collaborating with the hardware design team to refine designs based on feedback. You will prepare manufacturing drawings and manage the standard parts release procedures, ensuring all components are ready for production. Your responsibilities will also include preparing Assembly Procedure documents and conducting the mechanical assembly of units, documenting each step meticulously.

You will support the preparation of Test Procedure documents and Test Report documents, acting as the Avionics Equipment Team's representative during vibration and thermal testing. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that all mechanical designs meet the necessary standards and perform reliably in the field.
