Overview

Vanta is seeking an Account Executive for their SLED Government team to drive revenue growth with State, Local, and Education organizations. This role requires strong collaboration and strategic vision, although prior security experience is not mandatory.

Who you are

You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in complex environments involving multiple stakeholders. Your experience has equipped you with the skills to navigate the intricacies of public sector sales, especially within State, Local, and Education organizations. You are results-oriented and thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals. While prior experience in security is beneficial, it is not a requirement, as you are adaptable and eager to learn about the security landscape. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to articulate Vanta's mission and value proposition effectively to potential clients.

Desirable

Experience in selling technology solutions to government entities is a plus. Familiarity with compliance standards such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 will help you understand the needs of your clients better. A background in public sector sales or a related field will give you an edge in this role.

What you'll do

As an Account Executive at Vanta, you will be responsible for driving significant revenue growth by engaging with State, Local, and Education organizations. You will guide new business initiatives and foster relationships with key stakeholders to understand their needs and challenges. Your role will involve collaborating with the Head of Public Sector to develop strategic plans that align with Vanta's mission of securing the internet and protecting consumer data. You will leverage Vanta's AI-powered platform to demonstrate how it can help government agencies manage risk and streamline compliance processes. Your success will be measured by your ability to close deals and expand Vanta's footprint in the public sector.
