Overview
Vivun Inc. is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to own and rebuild their observability strategy across infrastructure and applications. You'll work with technologies like AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes to ensure system reliability and performance. This role requires strong experience in observability and infrastructure management.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering or a related field, with a strong focus on observability and infrastructure management. You understand the importance of monitoring and measuring system performance, and you have a proven track record of implementing observability strategies that enhance reliability and visibility across complex systems.
Your expertise includes working with cloud platforms such as AWS, and you are comfortable using containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. You have experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus, and you know how to leverage these tools to create effective observability patterns.
You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with engineering, QA, and product teams to establish unified visibility across the full stack. You have strong communication skills and can articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You are proactive in identifying potential issues before they impact users, and you thrive in environments where you can define standards and best practices for observability. You are passionate about driving a culture of reliability and performance within your team and the broader organization.
Desirable
Experience with large-scale distributed systems and a deep understanding of the challenges associated with them is a plus. Familiarity with machine learning models and their integration into observability frameworks would be advantageous, as well as any experience with agentic systems.
What you'll do
As the Lead Site Reliability Engineer at Vivun, you will own the end-to-end observability strategy for Ava, defining the standards, tools, and patterns that ensure reliable visibility across infrastructure and agentic components. You will design and implement correlation models that link agent behavior with system performance, ensuring that all components of the system are monitored effectively.
You will work closely with your teammates across engineering, QA, and product to establish unified visibility across the full stack, from LLM-driven agents to backend services. Your role will involve not just monitoring systems but also defining the patterns and tools that are a core part of empowering and driving Vivunβs engineering culture.
You will lead initiatives to improve system reliability and performance, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues proactively. You will also mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles.
What we offer
At Vivun, we offer a competitive salary and full health benefits, along with stock options at a well-funded, pre-IPO company on a fast growth track. We provide flexible work schedules and the ability to work from anywhere, as we are a fully remote company. Our unlimited PTO policy includes two weeks designated as a βquiet periodβ each year, allowing you to recharge and focus on your well-being.
You will join an experienced team that is committed to achieving shared goals and supporting each other in the trenches. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
