Who you are
You are a skilled linguist with a strong background in life sciences, particularly in the context of translation and proofreading. Your expertise in English to French Canadian translation allows you to ensure high-quality linguistic output for pharmaceutical documents. You have experience working with investigator-facing, patient-facing, and pharmacy-related content, which is crucial for this role. You are detail-oriented and capable of managing a weekly workload of 2,000 to 5,000 words, adapting to the needs of the project as they arise. Your ability to work independently as a freelancer while maintaining communication with the team is essential for success in this position.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for proofreading and translating documents from English into French Canadian, focusing on life sciences content. You will collaborate with leading pharmaceutical providers to ensure that all materials are accurate and culturally appropriate for the target audience. Your work will involve using CAT tools, specifically XTM, to enhance the efficiency and quality of the translation process. You will also be expected to provide feedback on the translation process and contribute to the continuous improvement of linguistic services offered by Welocalize. As this is an ongoing freelance position, you will have the flexibility to manage your workload based on your availability while meeting project deadlines.
