You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of control systems into larger platforms. Your problem-solving skills are top-notch, allowing you to tackle high-impact challenges with innovative solutions. You are familiar with aviation certification processes and understand the importance of rigorous testing and validation in developing safe autonomous systems.
What you'll do
As a Senior Staff Controls Engineering Professional at Wisk, you will be responsible for modeling and developing software for control systems that will be installed on prototypes and full-scale aircraft. You will lead the design and analysis of control algorithms, ensuring they meet the stringent requirements of autonomous flight. Your role will involve supporting flight tests related to these new algorithms, providing critical insights and adjustments based on real-world performance.
You will collaborate with the Integrated Product Team (IPT) to design a safe autonomous flight vehicle, following standard aviation certification processes. Your work will include performing formal controls analysis techniques to validate system performance and reliability. You will also mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster their growth within the team.
