Who you are

You have 8+ years of experience in metalworking or mechanical engineering, with a strong background in analyzing CAD models and technical drawings. Your expertise in manufacturing processes allows you to assess manufacturability effectively and provide valuable feedback to ensure accurate quoting for customers. You possess excellent analytical skills and can communicate complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Your educational background includes a higher technical education in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field. You are proficient in using CAD software and have expert knowledge of machining and fabrication processes. Your strong communication skills enable you to collaborate effectively with Sales and Engineering teams, ensuring that all details are clarified and documented accurately.

Desirable

Experience with process automation initiatives and workflow optimization is a plus. Familiarity with quote databases and the ability to maintain timely updates will enhance your effectiveness in this role. You are detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality and accurate quotes within tight deadlines.

What you'll do

In this role, you will analyze CAD models and technical drawings to assess manufacturability and calculate costs associated with manufacturing processes. You will provide recommendations on manufacturing processes where needed and document your calculations for the Sales and Commercial team. Your ability to review 3D models and 2D drawings will be crucial in providing manufacturability feedback that ensures timely and accurate quoting for our customers.

You will organize RFQs and clarify details with the Sales and Engineering teams, maintaining quote databases and ensuring timely updates. Your goal is to deliver high-quality quotes ideally within 1–2 working hours, supporting process automation initiatives and workflow optimization to enhance efficiency. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all aspects of the quoting process are handled smoothly and effectively.
