You have over 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong background both on and off the shop floor. Your diverse experience across multiple manufacturing disciplines, particularly in CNC, sheet metal fabrication, and assemblies, has equipped you with a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and capabilities. You excel in building relationships with customers and partners, often having worked as a shop representative or business development specialist. Your ability to communicate effectively and foster connections is one of your key strengths.

You possess a Bachelor's Degree in engineering or manufacturing/supply chain, which has provided you with a solid foundation in the principles of manufacturing and supply chain management. Your analytical skills allow you to develop insights into manufacturing partner capabilities and project requirements, enabling you to make informed decisions that drive project success. You are detail-oriented and have a knack for providing design for manufacturability (DFM) feedback and optimization recommendations.

What you'll do

As a Manufacturing Solutions Specialist at Xometry, you will curate a micro-network of top manufacturing partners and connect them to significant and lucrative opportunities. Your role will involve developing a deep understanding of the capabilities of these partners and maintaining strong relationships with them. You will match projects to partners through targeted outreach, ensuring that the right projects are aligned with the right manufacturing capabilities.

You will be responsible for preparing and submitting quotes to the sales team, monitoring and improving key performance indicators (KPIs), and updating departmental procedures and training as necessary. Your insights will help optimize processes and enhance the overall efficiency of the Solutions Engineering department. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that Xometry's digital marketplace continues to provide value to both manufacturers and buyers.
