You have a Bachelor's Degree in engineering or manufacturing/supply chain and over 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including time spent both on and off the shop floor. Your background spans multiple manufacturing disciplines, with a strong focus on CNC, sheet metal fabrication, and assemblies. You excel in building relationships with customers and partners, often having worked as a shop representative or business development specialist. Your ability to understand manufacturing partner capabilities allows you to effectively match projects to the right partners, ensuring optimal outcomes.

You possess strong relationship-building skills, which you have honed through years of experience in various roles within the manufacturing sector. Your deep understanding of manufacturing processes enables you to provide valuable Design for Manufacturing (DFM) feedback and optimization recommendations. You are proactive in monitoring and improving key performance indicators (KPIs) and are committed to updating and optimizing departmental procedures and training to enhance overall efficiency.

What you'll do

As a Senior Manufacturing Solutions Specialist at Xometry, you will be responsible for curating a micro-network of top manufacturing partners and connecting them to significant and lucrative opportunities. You will develop a deep understanding of each partner's capabilities and maintain strong relationships to facilitate project matching. Your role will involve targeted outreach to partners, ensuring that you are well-informed about project details to make the best connections.

You will provide DFM feedback and optimization recommendations to enhance project outcomes. Additionally, you will prepare and submit quotes to the sales team, ensuring that all proposals are competitive and aligned with partner capabilities. Monitoring and improving KPIs will be a key part of your responsibilities, as you strive to optimize departmental procedures and training for continuous improvement.
