Overview
Amazon is hiring a Senior DFT Design Engineer to design and optimize hardware for AWS Machine Learning servers. You'll work with Verilog and System Verilog to develop state-of-the-art DFT architectures. This position requires 5+ years of practical DFT experience with complex SoC designs.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of practical DFT experience with complex SoC designs in advanced technology nodes — you've worked on defining and developing state-of-the-art Design for Test (DFT) architectures and understand the intricacies of hardware design. Your expertise includes experience with standard tools and practices in DFT, including ATPG, JTAG, and MBIST, allowing you to make informed trade-offs between test quality and test time.
You are proficient in RTL coding and verification using Verilog and System Verilog — your coding skills enable you to implement highly efficient DFT solutions while collaborating closely with block designers and the physical design team. You have a strong background in automation script development, which enhances your ability to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
What you'll do
As a DFT Design Engineer at Amazon, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing hardware in our data centers, specifically for AWS Inferentia and Trainium systems. Your role will involve defining and developing DFT architectures for advanced technology nodes, ensuring high design quality while making the right trade-offs. You will work closely with block designers and the physical design team to implement efficient DFT solutions.
You will perform RTL coding and verification using Verilog and System Verilog, utilizing industry-standard DFT tools to create high coverage and cost-effective test patterns targeting advanced silicon defects. Additionally, you will participate in silicon debug efforts alongside ATE and system teams, ensuring that the hardware meets the required specifications and performance standards.
What we offer
At Amazon, we provide a competitive salary range of $136,000.00 - $184,000.00 USD annually, along with comprehensive benefits including dental, vision, and prescription coverage, as well as a 401(k) matching program. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse backgrounds and perspectives in our teams.
