Job Description

Who you are

You have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in CPU design and timing analysis, showcasing your expertise in static timing analysis tools such as PrimeTime and Tempus. Your background includes working with multiple clock and power domains, and you are adept at noise analysis and fixing design issues related to timing. You hold at least a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, which has equipped you with a solid foundation in engineering principles.

Your experience with variation modeling and timing closure processes makes you a valuable asset to any engineering team. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with CAD teams and CPU micro-architects to develop and refine timing flows that enhance analysis efficiency. Your strong problem-solving skills enable you to tackle complex timing challenges effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of timing within CPU design projects. You will collaborate with implementation and RTL teams to implement timing changes and ensure timing closure. Your responsibilities will include developing timing flows in partnership with the CAD team, scripting to improve analysis processes, and driving timing closure for the CPU through extensive collaboration with micro-architects and implementation engineers.

You will engage in timing analysis, addressing issues related to multiple clock and power domains, and perform noise analysis to ensure design integrity. Your role will also involve modifying existing timing flows to enhance efficiency and accuracy in timing analysis. You will be expected to contribute to the overall success of the project by ensuring that timing requirements are met and that the final product meets Apple's high standards for performance and reliability.
