Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong analytical mindset and a background in power and micro-architecture, which allows you to tackle complex challenges in GPU designs. Your experience with Verilog and SystemVerilog equips you to create early power estimations and perform what-if analyses during the architectural evaluation stage. You are proficient in scripting with Python, enabling you to develop flows and heuristics that accelerate power triage on large datasets.
Your knowledge of digital logic design principles, including power and timing implications, enhances your ability to support RTL and gate-level power rollup and analysis. You are detail-oriented and organized, ensuring that power analysis coverage is improved through the identification of the best power sign-off tests. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to contribute to the development of next-generation, high-performance processors.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for creating early power estimations and setting power targets for GPU designs. You will analyze various GPU workloads to identify opportunities for power reduction and evaluate power optimizations in both RTL and gates. Your work will involve supporting RTL and gate-level power rollup and analysis, ensuring that Apple products maintain their high-performance standards while being power-efficient.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that fuel Appleβs devices, enabling customers to enjoy seamless experiences. Your contributions will directly impact the design and manufacturing of next-generation processors, making you an integral part of the Silicon Technologies group. You will also be involved in developing flows and heuristics that enhance power analysis processes, ensuring that the team can efficiently handle large datasets.
