Who you are
You have a proven track record in enterprise sales, ideally with experience in the biotechnology or technology sectors. You are results-driven and motivated by achieving sales targets, with a strong ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across various personas within an account. You understand the importance of pipeline generation and are skilled in utilizing various strategies and tools to identify new business opportunities. Your analytical skills enable you to develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts, leveraging data to inform your decision-making processes. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with sales development representatives to create a robust pipeline.
Desirable
Experience in the biotechnology industry or a related field is a plus, as is familiarity with R&D processes. You are comfortable engaging with multiple personas, including IT, Science/R&D, and Data Science, and can adapt your communication style to suit different audiences. A background in technology sales will help you understand the products and services you are selling, allowing you to effectively convey their value to potential clients.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for driving new business into different lines of business within your designated top global accounts. You will create 80% of your pipeline by identifying new business opportunities and engaging with multiple personas within the prospect/customer base. You will work in partnership with your sales development representative to utilize various strategies and tools to generate leads and move them through the sales cycle. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining accurate sales forecasts, ensuring that you stay within +/- 10% of your sales goals. You will play a crucial role in expanding our customer base and ensuring successful sales outcomes through effective pipeline generation.
You will also be expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that customer needs are met and that you are providing the best possible service. This may involve working closely with marketing to align on messaging and campaigns, as well as with product teams to understand the features and benefits of the solutions you are selling. Your ability to build strong relationships with clients will be key to your success in this role, as you will need to understand their needs and challenges to effectively position Benchling's offerings.
