Overview

Confluent is seeking an Account Executive for their Digital Natives segment to drive sales and build strong customer relationships. You'll leverage your sales skills to manage the full sales cycle and exceed quarterly targets.

Who you are

You have a proven track record in sales, ideally with 5+ years of experience in a value-driven sales model. Your prospecting and negotiation skills are top-notch, allowing you to effectively engage with potential clients and close deals. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with Solutions Engineers and Services teams to design effective solutions tailored to customer needs. You possess a growth mentality, always looking for ways to improve your sales strategies and outcomes.

You are a strong communicator, capable of presenting compelling value propositions that resonate with diverse audiences. Your ability to build and maintain relationships is key to your success, as you understand the importance of trust and transparency in sales. You are comfortable navigating complex sales cycles and are adept at identifying and qualifying prospects to build a robust pipeline.

Desirable

Experience in the tech industry, particularly with data streaming or cloud solutions, would be a significant advantage. Familiarity with CRM tools and sales analytics platforms can enhance your effectiveness in this role. A background in working with Digital Natives or startups is also a plus, as it aligns with Confluent's target market.

What you'll do

As an Account Executive at Confluent, you will own the full sales cycle for net-new logos in your assigned territory. This includes prospecting, conducting discovery sessions, designing solutions, negotiating contracts, and closing deals. You will proactively identify and engage prospects, building a strong and healthy pipeline to meet and exceed your quarterly sales targets. Your role will involve developing and presenting tailored value propositions that address customer needs and drive business outcomes.

You will collaborate closely with Solutions Engineers and Services teams to ensure a seamless transition post-sale, ensuring that clients receive the best possible experience with Confluent's offerings. Your strategic approach to sales will involve leveraging data and insights to refine your tactics and improve your success rate. You will also be expected to contribute to the overall sales strategy, sharing insights and feedback with the broader sales team to enhance performance across the board.
