Overview

Confluent is seeking an Area Vice President for ANZ to drive go-to-market strategy and lead a high-performing sales organization. This role requires experience in selling complex SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS solutions, particularly in the data streaming sector.

Who you are

You are an experienced sales leader with a proven track record in driving revenue growth in the technology sector. With over 10 years of experience, you have successfully led teams in selling complex SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS solutions. You understand the nuances of the data streaming market and have a passion for coaching and developing high-performing sales teams. You thrive in collaborative environments and are committed to fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

You possess strong analytical skills and can leverage data to inform your go-to-market strategies. Your ability to inspire and motivate your team is complemented by your hands-on approach to leadership. You are comfortable engaging with high-growth companies and understand the dynamics of consumption-based sales models. You are a strategic thinker who can navigate complex sales cycles and build lasting relationships with clients.

Desirable

Experience in the APAC region is a plus, as is familiarity with the latest trends in data streaming technologies. You are adaptable and open to feedback, always looking for ways to improve both personally and professionally. You are excited about the opportunity to shape the next phase of Confluent’s growth story and contribute to a culture built on collaboration and curiosity.

What you'll do

In this role, you will coach and develop a team of Regional Sales Directors and Account Executives based in Australia. You will drive the full revenue number, including consumption, new subscriptions, and renewals. Your leadership will be crucial in scaling the sales organization and ensuring that your team meets and exceeds their targets. You will collaborate closely with other senior leaders to define and execute the go-to-market strategy for the ANZ region.

You will be responsible for setting clear performance expectations and providing ongoing feedback to your team. Your ability to analyze market trends and customer needs will inform your sales strategies, allowing you to position Confluent as a leader in the data streaming space. You will also play a key role in building relationships with key stakeholders and clients, ensuring that Confluent’s solutions meet their evolving needs.
