Who you are
You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in hunting and closing net new logos. Your experience includes engaging with mid-to-large size organizations, where you've successfully navigated complex sales cycles and built strong relationships with stakeholders. You understand the unique needs of Chief Technology Officers, Engineering/IT Leaders, and technical end users, and you can effectively communicate the value of Datadog's products to them. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to team success while growing your own career in sales.
You are familiar with sales methodologies and tools, such as Sales Navigator and DiscoverOrg, which you use to strategically prospect and convert leads into closed opportunities. Your ability to multi-thread into different departments of an organization allows you to maximize your impact and drive top-of-funnel activity alongside Sales Development Representatives. You are comfortable managing the full sales cycle, including negotiations and technical demonstrations, ensuring that you meet customer needs at every stage.
What you'll do
As a Mid-Market Account Executive at Datadog, you will focus entirely on acquiring new customers, converting inbound leads into closed opportunities. You will strategically engage with potential clients, leveraging your understanding of their unique needs to convey the value of Datadog's offerings. Your role will involve collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless sales process, from initial contact through to closing the deal.
You will utilize tools like Sales Navigator to identify and reach out to key decision-makers within target organizations. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough research to understand the competitive landscape and the specific challenges faced by your prospects. You will work closely with Sales Development Representatives to drive top-of-funnel activity, ensuring a steady stream of qualified leads.
Managing the full sales cycle will be a key part of your role, which includes conducting negotiations and delivering on-site technical demonstrations to showcase the capabilities of Datadog's products. You will be expected to maintain accurate records of your sales activities and progress in the company's CRM system, ensuring transparency and accountability in your sales efforts.
