Overview
Deliveroo is hiring a Business Development Manager to build relationships with retail partners in Dubai. You'll be responsible for onboarding new restaurant partners and ensuring their success on the platform. This role requires 2-3 years of sales experience, preferably in the restaurant sector.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 2-3 years of sales experience, ideally within the restaurant sector, and a proven track record of prospecting, pitching, and closing deals. You are an experienced negotiator who can structure win-win deals for both partners and Deliveroo, demonstrating a strong understanding of the economics of delivery. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively engage with retail partners through various channels including physical visits, emails, and social media.
You are commercially knowledgeable and understand the dynamics of the competitive market in which Deliveroo operates. Your ability to build relationships and create a strong pipeline of leads will be essential in this role. You are proactive in overseeing the partner onboarding process, ensuring it is efficient and seamless, and you are committed to the success of new partners within their first eight weeks.
What you'll do
In this role, you will map, prospect, pitch, and close new restaurant partners across your region. You will become a category-level expert, staying informed about up-and-coming partners and the missions Deliveroo is catering to. Your responsibilities will include communicating with retail partners to demonstrate Deliveroo's technology and value proposition, as well as overseeing the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition onto the platform.
You will attend meetups and events to network and promote Deliveroo's offerings, while also tracking your performance against KPIs such as the number of partners signed each month and the performance of those partners in their initial months. Your role will be pivotal in helping Deliveroo expand its presence in the region and enhance its value proposition for customers.
