You have a proven track record in business development, particularly in the payments industry, with at least 5 years of experience driving sales and building relationships with key stakeholders. Your merchant-focused mindset allows you to understand customer needs deeply and take calculated risks to achieve results. You thrive in a remote-first environment and are comfortable collaborating with diverse teams across different time zones.
Your experience in financial systems and payment processing gives you a competitive edge, enabling you to navigate complex sales cycles and articulate the value of dLocal's offerings to potential clients. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. You are results-driven and motivated by the impact your work has on the success of your clients.
Desirable
Experience working with global brands and understanding their unique challenges in emerging markets is a plus. Familiarity with CRM tools, particularly Salesforce, will help you manage your pipeline effectively and track your progress.
What you'll do
As a Senior Business Development Manager at dLocal, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in Japan. You will engage with potential clients, understand their payment needs, and present tailored solutions that drive conversion rates and simplify their payment expansion efforts. Your strategic approach will involve analyzing market trends and customer feedback to refine our offerings and enhance our competitive positioning.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development, to ensure that our solutions meet the evolving needs of our clients. In this role, you will also be expected to build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services. You will track your sales performance against targets and report on your progress to senior management, contributing to the overall growth strategy of dLocal in the region.
