Fivetran is hiring a Senior Sales Engineer to join their Enterprise sales team. You'll work closely with customers to understand their business needs and showcase Fivetran’s data replication solutions. This role requires expertise in cloud technologies and data solutions.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in sales engineering with at least 5 years of experience in a technical sales role, particularly within the enterprise sector. Your ability to understand complex business needs and translate them into technical solutions is key to your success. You are comfortable working with various cloud technologies and data solutions, and you have a knack for communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Your technical expertise spans across multiple platforms, including AWS, GCP, and Azure, and you are familiar with data warehousing solutions like Snowflake and BigQuery. You have experience with data integration tools and can effectively demonstrate their value to potential clients. Your problem-solving skills are complemented by your ability to build strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met throughout the sales cycle.
Desirable
Experience with data replication solutions and a solid understanding of the data ecosystem will set you apart. Familiarity with tools like Databricks and Kafka is a plus, as is a background in software development or data engineering. You are proactive in seeking out new opportunities and are willing to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend training sessions.
What you'll do
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the sales team to identify and understand the unique business requirements of our enterprise customers. You will showcase how Fivetran’s solutions can help them achieve their desired outcomes, providing technical expertise throughout the sales process. Your responsibilities will include conducting product demonstrations, managing proof-of-value processes, and addressing any technical questions that arise during discussions with potential clients.
You will also play a crucial role in onboarding new sales team members by participating in our Revenue Bootcamp, where you will share your knowledge and experience. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences will be essential as you work to build trust and rapport with clients. Additionally, you will stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings to ensure that Fivetran remains a leader in the data integration space.
