Who you are
You are a motivated individual looking to transition out of public accounting while still utilizing your past experience. You thrive in a team-oriented environment and are driven by team wins and sales commissions. Your background in audit or accounting is essential, as you will be calling on key client stakeholders within the office of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). You understand the finance and accounting functions within organizations of all types and sizes, making you a valuable asset to the Business Development Representative (BDR) team.
You have a strong desire to advance your career into a client-facing sales role, and you are eager to learn and grow within a high-growth tech company. Your past experience in public accounting equips you with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in this new venture. You are adaptable and open to working in an office environment three days a week, with the understanding that this requirement may change based on team and business needs.
What you'll do
As a Business Development Representative at FloQast, you will be part of a high-impact team made up of former public accountants starting their sales careers. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with potential clients, utilizing your audit and accounting experience to understand their needs and present FloQast's solutions effectively. You will work closely with the sales team to identify key stakeholders and develop strategies to reach out to them.
You will be responsible for generating leads and setting up meetings for the sales team, ensuring that you are adding value to the sales process. Your ability to communicate effectively with finance and accounting professionals will be crucial in building relationships and establishing trust. You will also participate in training sessions to enhance your sales skills and product knowledge, allowing you to contribute to the team's success.
