Who you are

You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in managing enterprise-level accounts — you've successfully navigated complex sales cycles and built strong relationships with key stakeholders. Your experience in the software industry, especially with DevSecOps or similar platforms, gives you a unique perspective on how to drive value for clients.

You are a strategic thinker who understands the importance of aligning customer needs with product capabilities — you can articulate the value proposition of GitLab's offerings and tailor your approach to meet the specific requirements of each client. Your ability to leverage data and insights to inform your sales strategy sets you apart.

You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams — your communication skills enable you to effectively engage with technical teams, product managers, and marketing to ensure a seamless customer experience. You are comfortable using AI tools to enhance your productivity and drive sales efficiency.

Desirable

Experience in the DevSecOps space or familiarity with GitLab's platform would be a significant advantage — you understand the challenges organizations face in software development and can speak to how GitLab can address these issues. A background in technology sales or account management is preferred, but we encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement.

What you'll do

As a Strategic Account Executive at GitLab, you will own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals — your primary focus will be on enterprise-level clients, helping them realize the full potential of our DevSecOps platform. You will engage with prospects to understand their needs and demonstrate how GitLab can transform their software development processes.

You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic account plans that align with GitLab's business objectives — this includes identifying key decision-makers, conducting product demonstrations, and negotiating contracts.
