Who you are

You are an experienced sales professional with a proven track record in selling enterprise software. You have a strong understanding of open source technologies and APIs, which allows you to effectively communicate the value of Kong's Enterprise Platform to potential clients. Your entrepreneurial spirit drives you to excel in early-stage enterprise environments, and you thrive on building relationships with global enterprise accounts.

You possess a true desire to see customers benefit from their investment in Kong. Your ability to understand and document the buying criteria and process enables you to tailor your sales approach effectively. You are comfortable taking ownership of your book of business and ensuring pipeline accuracy based on evidence.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for Kong's prospects, leading the sales efforts for the Kong Enterprise Platform. You will meet individual quotas and objectives while providing account leadership throughout the pre- and post-sales process. Your responsibilities will include analyzing wins and losses to refine your sales strategy and contributing to the overall growth plan of the company.

You will be expected to travel to customer sites as required, which may involve 30% to 50% travel. Your established relationships in the industry will be leveraged to drive new customer acquisition and foster long-term partnerships. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that customer needs are met and that they receive the highest level of service.
