Kong is hiring a Partner Sales Director to lead their partner ecosystem and drive revenue growth. You'll work closely with regional leaders to execute go-to-market strategies and build strong partnerships. This role requires a proven track record in sales and partner management.

Who you are
You have a proven track record of smashing revenue targets — your experience in sales leadership has equipped you with the skills to drive significant growth through partnerships. You thrive in high-velocity environments and excel at building relationships with key partners, ensuring alignment across various teams.
Your hands-on experience running go-to-market motions across all partner types, including Channel, Tech Alliances, Cloud, and GSIs, sets you apart. You understand the nuances of each partner type and can leverage these relationships to unlock new revenue streams.
You possess strong relationships with top national VARs and SIs, such as WWT, Trace3, and Slalom, which will be instrumental in amplifying Kong's reach. Your passion for generating net-new, sourced business through the partner ecosystem drives your success in this role.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are your forte — you can effectively align with the Regional VP and Regional Directors to build and execute region-wide go-to-market strategies. You are adept at assessing market dynamics to ensure optimal partner coverage that accelerates Field Sales success.
Desirable
While not mandatory, familiarity with API and AI connectivity technologies will be beneficial. A background in technology sales or partnerships will enhance your ability to navigate the complexities of the industry.
What you'll do
In this role, you will drive tight alignment with the Regional VP and Regional Directors to build and execute region-wide go-to-market strategies. You will assess market dynamics to ensure optimal partner coverage that accelerates Field Sales success. Your leadership will be crucial in refining the go-to-market model to stay ahead of industry shifts and partner opportunities.
You will lead cross-functional alignment across marketing, support, customer experience, and more, ensuring that all teams are working towards common goals. Your ability to continually refine the go-to-market model will help Kong adapt to changing market conditions and seize new opportunities.
You will be responsible for shaping and scaling a world-class partner ecosystem across channel, technology, GSI, and cloud alliances. This involves unlocking new revenue streams and amplifying Kong's reach in the market. Your strategic vision will guide the development of partnerships that drive growth and enhance Kong's competitive position.
