You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in the education sector, with experience in building and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers. Your strong negotiation and closing skills enable you to navigate complex sales processes, particularly in K-12 education. You are comfortable with solution-based selling techniques and can adapt your approach based on the unique needs of each district. You thrive in a role that involves travel and face-to-face interactions, understanding the importance of personal connections in driving product adoption.

Desirable

Experience in the K-12 education market is a plus, as is familiarity with curriculum products. You are data-driven and can adjust your sales strategies based on demographic insights and state initiatives. Your ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

What you'll do

As an Account Executive at Newsela, you will be responsible for driving the adoption of our core curriculum product across California. This involves meeting with district leaders to present our suite of products and securing agreements for district-wide implementation. You will manage the entire sales lifecycle, from lead generation to final negotiations, ensuring that you create tailored account plans that resonate with the specific needs of each district. Your role will also involve monitoring the K-12 education landscape in California to inform and adjust your sales strategies effectively. You will work closely with seasoned leadership and the Learning & Enablement team to shape your approach and contribute to the growth of a high-impact business unit.
