Overview

OpenAI is hiring an Account Director to drive customer engagement and deployment of AI products. You'll work closely with researchers and engineers to help clients leverage AI for their business. This role requires a mix of technical understanding and strategic vision.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in sales and account management, ideally with experience in technology or AI solutions. You understand the nuances of customer engagement and can articulate the value of complex products to diverse audiences. Your ability to build relationships and trust with clients is paramount, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can work alongside engineers and researchers to deliver impactful solutions.

You possess a blend of technical understanding and strategic vision, allowing you to navigate the complexities of AI deployment in various industries. Your experience in managing customer accounts from initial engagement to successful deployment has equipped you with the skills to drive opportunities through the entire sales cycle. You are comfortable discussing technical concepts and translating them into business value for your clients.

What you'll do

In this role, you will manage a portfolio of customer accounts, developing and executing strategies for comprehensive account plans. You will support your customer accounts from initial engagement to successful deployment, ensuring that clients understand the deep impact that AI can have on their business. You will collaborate with researchers, engineers, and solution strategists to create tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of each client.

You will be a key driver of opportunities through the entire sales cycle, from pipeline generation to closure. Your role will involve identifying potential clients, understanding their challenges, and demonstrating how OpenAI's products can address their needs. You will also work closely with the Go To Market team to refine strategies and enhance customer experiences.
