Who you are
You are a seasoned sales leader with a deep understanding of fraud, risk, and identity verification β your experience spans several years in driving sales for emerging solutions, and you thrive in ambiguous environments where you can influence without direct authority. You have a proven track record of closing strategic deals and developing sales strategies that translate complex customer challenges into revenue-generating outcomes.
You possess strong leadership skills and are comfortable in a player-coach role β you lead by example, mentoring and developing specialist Account Executives while also being hands-on in closing deals. Your consultative, value-driven selling approach has enabled you to build lasting relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
You are motivated by scaling emerging solutions and have a knack for translating customer needs into commercial opportunities β your ability to partner closely with cross-functional teams, including Product and Go-To-Market teams, ensures that you are always aligned with the company's strategic goals.
Desirable
Experience in the financial technology sector is a plus β familiarity with tools and services that enhance financial interactions will give you an edge in this role. You are also comfortable navigating the complexities of working with large organizations, including Fortune 500 companies and major banks.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for the performance and growth of Plaidβs Fraud solutions β you will lead a team of Account Executives, providing guidance and support as they engage with both new and existing customers. Your hands-on approach will see you directly involved in closing strategic deals, ensuring that you are not only leading but also actively contributing to the sales process.
You will collaborate closely with Product teams to shape sales strategies that resonate with customer needs β your insights will help in developing products that address the challenges faced by clients in the fraud and risk space. You will also work with Go-To-Market teams to ensure that the sales approach is aligned with the overall business objectives.
Your role will involve analyzing market trends and customer feedback to refine sales tactics β you will be expected to stay ahead of industry developments and adapt your strategies accordingly. You will also play a key role in scaling the sales team, identifying opportunities for growth and development within your team.
