Who you are

You have a strong background in market access and development, ideally with experience in the telecommunications or satellite industry. Your ability to conduct in-depth market research allows you to assess demand and understand the competitive landscape effectively. You excel at building relationships and developing a network of supportive stakeholders across public and private sectors, which is crucial for promoting growth in new regions. You are skilled in aligning market development efforts with technical capabilities and compliance requirements, ensuring that all initiatives are feasible and strategically sound.

You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to work closely with engineering, operations, logistics, legal, tax, and sales teams. Your collaborative approach ensures that all aspects of market development are considered, and you are adept at nurturing new commercial opportunities that can be converted into revenue-generating agreements. You are driven by the mission of expanding Starlink's presence and are excited about the potential impact of satellite internet on communities across Africa.

Desirable

Experience in regulatory affairs or compliance within the telecommunications sector would be a significant advantage. Familiarity with the African market landscape and understanding of local regulations can enhance your effectiveness in this role. A background in business operations or sales would also be beneficial, as it complements the responsibilities of building a pipeline of commercial opportunities.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead efforts to support new market regulatory initiatives for Starlink, ensuring that all necessary approvals and compliance measures are in place. You will conduct thorough market research to identify demand and potential barriers to entry, providing insights that will shape strategic decisions. Collaborating with various teams, you will align market development efforts with technical capabilities and product roadmaps, ensuring that Starlink's offerings meet the needs of diverse customer bases.
