Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree and over 4 years of professional experience in compensation and/or human resources, demonstrating a strong understanding of compensation structures and programs. Your background includes working with complex compensation packages, and you possess advanced proficiency in Excel, which you use to conduct quantitative analysis and data modeling. You are skilled in communicating clearly and persuasively, with strong consultative abilities that allow you to influence decision-making effectively.
You are a mentor at heart, eager to train and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment where knowledge is shared. Your analytical mindset enables you to see beyond the numbers, understanding trends that drive strategic decisions around people. You are comfortable aggregating data to participate in compensation surveys and developing communication strategies to promote understanding and transparency in compensation programs.
Desirable
A degree in business, mathematics, economics, or finance is preferred, along with 5+ years of experience in the field. Experience with equity compensation packages is a plus, as is a strong foundation in data analysis skills. You thrive in a role that requires both analytical and interpersonal skills, making you an ideal fit for this position.
What you'll do
As a Senior Compensation Analyst at SpaceX, you will act as a consultant to the Human Resources team and business leadership, supporting their decision-making processes for hiring, promotions, and organizational initiatives. Your responsibilities will include conducting research and quantitative analysis to inform annual compensation programs and developing compensation structures that align with the company's goals. You will aggregate data for compensation surveys and implement training for HR professionals and managers to enhance their understanding of compensation programs.
You will also mentor junior members of the team, sharing your expertise and fostering their professional growth. Your role will involve presenting data insights to leadership, helping them understand trends that impact compensation strategies. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that compensation programs are effectively communicated and understood across the organization.
