Who you are
You are an experienced translator with a strong background in creative UI and marketing linguistics, specifically from English into Dutch. You have a keen eye for detail and a passion for language, enabling you to produce high-quality translations that resonate with target audiences. Your ability to adapt content for different cultural contexts makes you a valuable asset in the localization process. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to the success of global projects.
You possess excellent research skills, allowing you to understand the nuances of the content you are translating. Your familiarity with the music streaming industry and entertainment services enhances your ability to create engaging and relevant translations. You are comfortable working independently and managing your time effectively to meet project deadlines.
What you'll do
In this role, you will take ownership of translation tasks for a prominent music streaming client, ensuring that all content is accurately translated and culturally adapted. You will collaborate with other linguists and project managers to maintain consistency and quality across all deliverables. Your responsibilities will include translating marketing materials, UI content, and other related documents, as well as conducting thorough reviews of your work and that of others.
You will engage in research to ensure that your translations are not only accurate but also resonate with the target audience. Your contributions will play a crucial role in enhancing the user experience for Dutch-speaking customers of the music streaming service. You will also be expected to provide feedback and suggestions for improving the localization process, helping to drive innovation in language services at Welocalize.
