Who you are

You have a strong background in account management and fundraising, with at least 5 years of experience in similar roles. Your analytical skills allow you to develop compelling proposals and conduct thorough research to support institutional partnerships. You are adept at building relationships with government partners and understand the nuances of working within the nonprofit sector. Your ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with diverse teams is essential for success in this role. You are passionate about social impact and have a deep understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable populations. You thrive in a hybrid work environment, balancing in-person collaboration with remote work.

What you'll do

As the Manager of Government Partnerships, you will lead efforts to engage with government partners, developing and managing relationships that advance Acumen's mission. You will be responsible for crafting proposals that align with funding opportunities and institutional priorities. Your role will involve conducting research to identify potential partners and funding sources, as well as analyzing data to inform strategic decisions. You will collaborate closely with the Development & Partnerships team to ensure alignment on goals and objectives. Additionally, you will represent Acumen at meetings and events, advocating for our mission and building awareness of our work. You will also play a key role in tracking and reporting on partnership outcomes, ensuring that we meet our commitments to our partners.

What we offer

Acumen offers a competitive salary range of $86,400 to $103,000, along with a performance-based bonus. We are committed to equal pay and ensure that compensation is determined through comparison to a cohort of employees at the same level.
