Overview

Newsela is hiring a Sales Development Representative to support growth by researching and qualifying leads. You'll engage with prospects through calls and emails, leveraging tools like Salesforce and Salesloft. This role requires 1+ year of lead generation or inside sales experience.

Job Description

Who you are

You have 1+ year of lead generation or inside sales experience — you've engaged prospects through email and phone conversations that lead to qualified meetings. Your familiarity with Salesforce.com and sales process training allows you to tactfully manage a pipeline to meet and exceed team goals. You are an excellent communicator who can empathize with the challenges our different buyers face, establishing clear value propositions that connect buyer/user needs to the product and services we offer. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and use your creativity when partnering with team members to ensure flawless execution.

Desirable

Experience with sales platforms such as Salesloft, Outreach.io, or Yesware is a plus, as is a background in education technology or related fields.

What you'll do

As a Sales Development Representative at Newsela, you will work across the Sales organization to support aggressive growth by researching and qualifying leads. Your days will be composed of responding to inbound inquiries and proactive cold outreach to potential new customers. You will provide online product demonstrations that draw prospects into initial discovery calls and identify key needs that ultimately lead to qualified opportunities for our Sales team. You will collaborate within the Sales organization to inform strategy and process that enhances sales performance, contributing valuable feedback from the market to help drive future product enhancements.
