You have a strong background in B2B field sales, with experience in cold calling, pre-sales, and lead generation — you've successfully identified and engaged potential clients, leveraging your network to drive sales. Your communication and negotiation skills are top-notch, allowing you to effectively convey the value of products to merchants and resolve any issues that arise. You understand technology and user experience, which helps you articulate how Paytm's solutions can benefit businesses.

You are willing to experiment and continuously improve your approach to sales — you thrive in environments where you can adapt and innovate. Your ability to minimize risks of fraud and chargebacks through careful merchant onboarding demonstrates your attention to detail and commitment to quality. What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for increasing sales of Paytm's devices among merchants in your specified area. This will involve physically visiting micro markets, identifying high-quality merchants, and engaging them in meaningful conversations about how Paytm can help grow their businesses. You will adhere to risk guidelines and work closely with various business and technology teams within Paytm to identify and resolve common bottlenecks.

Your day-to-day activities will include seeking references from converted clients to expand your network of potential merchants. You will also engage with existing clients to ensure their needs are met and any issues are resolved promptly. As a team lead, you will guide your team in achieving sales targets and maintaining high standards of merchant onboarding. Your role will be pivotal in driving Paytm's mission to bring half a billion Indians into the mainstream economy through technology.
