Telesat is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to lead the Telesat Lightspeed business in Australia. You'll develop strategic partnerships with local companies to drive government adoption of innovative satellite solutions. You have a proven track record in business development, particularly within the enterprise and government sectors, and you are passionate about leveraging innovative technologies to drive growth. Your experience includes developing strategic partnerships and executing business development strategies that align with organizational goals. You possess strong communication and negotiation skills, enabling you to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels. You are self-motivated and thrive in dynamic environments where you can define and execute strategies that have a significant impact.
Desirable
Experience in the satellite communications industry or related fields is a plus, as is familiarity with government procurement processes and defense strategies. You are comfortable working with technical teams and can translate complex technical concepts into business opportunities. A network of contacts within the Australian government and enterprise sectors would be advantageous.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the business development efforts for Telesat Lightspeed in Australia, focusing on enterprise, government, and defense customers. You will define and execute the business development strategy, identifying opportunities for growth and partnership. Your responsibilities will include developing relationships with local Australian companies to facilitate the adoption of Telesat Lightspeed solutions, ensuring alignment with the countryโs defense, space, and digital infrastructure strategies. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure that customer needs are met and that solutions are tailored to the Australian market. You will also be responsible for tracking market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
